Using the "Multirotor Test Jig" ( MTJ) and a bluetooth link to a PC, basic set-up features can be confirmed such as, prop rotation direction / correct reactions from the radio such as pitch / roll / yaw, and with the addition of a watt meter, check the amp draw at full power without the craft zooming off into the distance.
Even fault finding of the FPV system could be done under a simulated flight conditions, be it attached to the MTJ.
