On February 18th, 2001 Dale Earnhardt sr. made the ultamite sacrifice when he lost his life. But it was a sacrifice that in my mind only enhanced his legacy. Because of that one fateful turn hundreds if not thousands of drivers can feel safer getting into their cars in their car of tomorrows, with their HAANS devices on, racing on a track with a S.A.F.E.R barrier, ect.
