You might have noticed that Thunderstep Music has retracted into silence since around the beginning of 2015, only to pop up rarely and irregularly, here and there, every now and then.
But! Don't be fooled: While you have been waiting all this time I have notably improved and I have been preparing for the moment I bring this channel back to life.
Ironically, this music video was neither what I was working on (of course, I mean, come on, a year for just this?), nor what I had in mind when I came up with my plan.
No - the creation of this music video was more like a surge hitting me during the actual work I had taken upon myself.
I hereby announce my two upcoming albums "Utopia" and "Dystopia" featuring a total of 18 tracks (not including this one for a really cool reason).
Yep, that is absolutely right. Not one or two more; 18! I will release more info on my facebook page in the next few days and the first few tracks in the following weeks.
But do you know why all this? I'll tell you: Because you are the best. And, I'm writing this to you, reader:
Thank you so much for listening to Thunderstep Music. Music is an exchange - and it might not seem so at first - but you are, right now, giving back to me by listening.
I feel humbled by the amount of listeners that have accumulated over time. I actually had a conversation about it; it was with a good friend who, like me, also lives here in Tuscaloosa.
He drew a very good comparison by telling me that, with the total amount of views solely from my channel, I could fill the Bryant-Denny Stadium with its 100.000 seats nearly ten times.
If I then would add the views from the videos using my music I know of, it jumps to somewhere around a hundred and ten times. And then there is the unknown bunch.
And whatever number it is, it already makes me happy. Know that, reader. In this virtual amphitheater everyone seems to be invisible, but I see you. You make my life matter.
That is why this track is, although currently one of my best, free to download, free to use and - hold on - AdRev free for one entire year, until March 9th, 2017.
You may have seen or may see ads in this video in future, but I don't profit of them in any way. Paramount Pictures placed them here because they hold the rights to the visual content.
This is very similar to how I make my living with my music through AdRev on other youtubers videos. As you might already know I normally keep my channel completely ad-free,
thus making possible a continuously immersive experience when listening to my playlists, but I am pretty sure that this one time it is worth it to break my rule. Isn't it? *wink*
Interstellar was gorgeous (agree or disagree? Into the comments, let's go!) and in no way am I trying to correct or replace Hans Zimmers compositional work in the actual movie.
To be honest, "Approaching The Event Horizon" just... happened. Everything kind of fell into place. This makes it sound like it was less work than other tracks, but I can assure you that,
in fact, this video is my second most ambitious project to date. As I said earlier, it felt like a surge, and I decided to go with it and share this immediately after it was finished.
Please tell me how you liked the video in the comments. Furthermore, what styles would you like to hear and topics would you like to see in the future? Every suggestion is welcome.
Thank you for reading all the way through, stay epic!
Your Apollon.
