An outspoken defendant of free speech, Esra'a Al Shafei from Bahrein has in the past been subjected to threats and harassment. So, she doesn't want her image out in the public. Her aim to foster a constructive discourse via the internet and to keep a sharp eye on the world. The internet is the window to the world in Bahrein.
