iPhone 2G firmware 3.1.2 jailbreak and unlock tutorial
Using redsn0w 0.9.2 on Windows 7

Materials:
-PC running Windows

-iPhone 3.1.2 ipsw ( http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ )
-3.9 ( http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y16N9IZL ) and 4.6 ( http://www.megaupload.com/?d=28A3BR0K ) bootloaders
Process:
1. It's very helpfull to put all of the needed files in one folder. You may creatively name it "Pwnage 3.1"
2. First thing you want to do is restore your iPhone with iTunes with the 3.1.2 firmware. To do this, press and hold shift and at the same time click restore to open an explorer window. Find the 3.1.2 ipsw and restore.
3. Once restored you can close iTunes. Now start redsn0w. It's pretty straght forward, just follow the directions. SO:
4. Browse for (3.1.2) ipsw
5. Select your options. You'll want to tick "Install Cydia" and "Unlock". Using custom boot logos is up to you. Remember the limits: RGB or Grayscale format with Alpha channel and dimension below 320x480 and below 100KB.
6. Tick already pwned if the iPhone is already jailbroken, this way you can skip DFU mode.
7. Locate the 3.9 and 4.6 bootloaders and move on to the DFU mode.
8. Make sure the phone is plugged in the PC and off and follow the steps on screen.
9. Hold Power (corner) buttonfor 3 seconds (not really necesary).
10. While continuing to hold the power button, press and hold the home button, keep them pressed for 10 seconds.
11. Release the power button but keep pressing the home button for another 30 seconds, although you really only need 10.
12. Let redsn0w do it's job and voila! you're done.
