Sorry for the lazy video, but as soon as I got the quad back down, I spent my time playing with it rather than documenting its rescue. Besides, you don't need to follow my method to the letter - you're just temporarily out of ideas due to the trauma of losing your quad! This video will hopefully re-inspire you to get it down... and you will.
Joking aside though, the week spent trying to get the thing out of the tree was nearly as much fun as flying it. This method does work, it's cheap and there's a bit of skill in threading the thing up through the tree so you feel like a dude when you finally get it down. For reference's sake, my tree is 40 feet tall.
