Growing up in the late 70s and early 80s on the south side of Chicago House Music became engraved in my heart. I'd go to all the popular spots, just to experience the "House" culture.
As I became older, I still felt the need to discover music that you could not only listen to but actually "feel!!"
Then in 2000, I was introduced to "Who is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds, Volume 1." It's not House Music, but Jill's vocals brought her music to life. I enjoyed her Neo-Soul style so much that I'd look for songs that I could find her on. With each of her albums, I became more and more intrigued and enthused to hear more.
Years later, I discovered several House music remixes of some of Jill Scott's more popular songs. In 2013, this excitement led me to develop a mix, over an hour long so you can jack to the mighty sounds of Jill Scott. Enjoy!!!
