I've only flown my X1 a handful of times. I had a drop-out fairly early on that landed me in a creek. Then, after drying out, the X1 flew like it should at first. Then, this last few days, they controller wouldn't stay bound to the quadcopter leading to it dropping every time soon after I took off. Then, the controller starting beeping repeatedly like it was short-circuiting. After poking around for a while, I found out (once I took the controller apart) that if I physically held onto the antennae wire that the quad would bind and I could get it to spin up. Then, upon stripping the end off the antennae wire and adding some tin foil, it appeared that my "fix" might just work. Unfortunately, this just lead to further drop-outage and lack of control. My faith in JJRC is greatly shaken and I'm very disappointed in what could have been an awesome and affordable quadcopter.
