This was my first test flight using my new Canon SD40 digital camera. This is now the 3rd digital camera that I've used for aerial videos (the previous ones being the Sony DSC-P100 and the FlyCamOne2). I felt that the Canon SD40 was a good choice for this application due to its size, weight, photo/video quality, and relative cost. I hope this proves to be true. I'm also utilizing a new custom acrylic plastic shield to protect the camera from damage (so that this doesn't suffer the same fate as my DSC-P100 did).
