The song 'Kanchi' is a carefree love story depicting two different cultures. Sung in Nepali, Hindi and Kinnauri, the song has a glimpse of the famous Pangran Buddhist Monastery as well. Showcasing the picturesque Manali mountains and snow, a vibrant 'kanchi' girl from Nepal falls in love with a boy from Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh. Due to culture and social differences their love drives them to elope and get married. But at this point Kaanchi has second thoughts. She realizes her responsibilities towards her widow mother who will be left all alone in old age. She now has to make a tough decision. Choose between her caring mother, or run away with her love. This simple story shows the complexities of culture, love and values. It is a tribute to love!
