Consisting of only a motion sensor and an entry sensor, the Kangaroo security kit is by far the most minimalist I’ve ever reviewed, that’s probably because they’re a fairly new company. Based in New York, Kangaroo just received over $10 million in its second funding round, bringing its total funding to over $14 million, so I have high expectations for this tiny security system.
The sensors are both wireless and tamper-proof, with pet sensitivity for the motion sensor. Kangaroo gives you the option to either self-monitor through their highly-rated app or buy monthly or yearly 24/7 professional monitoring for only nine dollars a month or $60 a year, which is a fantastic price. Monitoring also adds on text and phone notifications, an Alexa integration, and more.
