Just showing those who are curious some daily maintenance activities with Kili. I let her out of the cage and send her to a perch to poop. She is basically potty trained and only poops from perches with newspapers under them. See this article if you are interested in learning more about potty training a parrot:

Then I call her but she flies over to her scale instead. She knows that she needs to be weighed first before I can serve her pellets for breakfast. So I checked her weight, got her good bowl, got the pellet bag out of the cooler, and poured the pellets. Meanwhile she flew over to make sure I was getting her a fair portion. Then I sent her back to the cage to go in and eat.
Finally I show one more scene of letting her out of the cage and sending her on a perch to poop. It's very rare that she poops on the floor or furniture any more. If this video teaches you anything, I hope it shows you that the fear of poop all over your home is not only a non-threat with a flighted parrot but in fact they can fly to a stand to poop when they need to go (even if you don't know about it). Another reason I included the last scene is because the window shades were open (normally keep them closed for privacy moreso than parrot) just to show that I'm not worried about the parrot flying into windows cause she knows not to fly into them.
