The French Wakesurfing Association (AFWS) and Talloires Organisation, together with Wake the Best and Wakesurfshop.com proudly present their wakesurf event « King of the Lake ». The event will be held on the 7th and 8th of September 2013 in Angon, Talloires, Annecy Lake
Born in 2003 on the shores of Lake Annecy, the French competition has grown to be an international event with more than 10 different nationalities represented amongst the riders. Stars of the sport like Dominic Lagacé or Chase Hazen have become familiars of the venue.
Becoming a reference for water sports, the King of the Lake has finally attracted the attention of brands such as Red Bull, Liquid Force, Hyperlite, Smith Optics or Nissan.
Become over the years the most important competition of wakesurfing in Europe, the King of the Lake should be perpetuated in time and take a place far left vacant by becoming the first European Cup wakesurfing at its eighth edition in 2011. It was a logical evolution as due to the development of the sport to the general increase in the level of participants.
The only one wakesurfing competition in France to a national and international level, the King of the Lake saw riders of many nationalities (Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, England, USA, Luxembourg ...) and up to a hundred participants .
Traditionally held on Lake Annecy in Talloires, in a place like no other, magical, beautiful, with a large infrastructure, it attracts many French and European audiences.
