Application connectivity in Kubernetes involves close collaboration between a number of concepts, including CNI plugins, Network Policy, Services, DNS, Ingress, and increasingly, a Service Mesh.
Karthik will discuss how Calico Networking and Network Policy provides the glue that enables pod connectivity and will provide a technical overview, along with a demo of Calico with Kubernetes for connecting and securing pod connectivity across on premise and cloud environments (including Azure).
Karthik is the Director of Solution Architecture at Tigera, the company behind Project Calico. Tigera engineers are also co-maintainers of Flannel, CNI, and also one of the active contributors to the Istio Service Mesh, and are generally active within Kubernetes SIG-Network
