This is for our laser cutter here at UBC Engineering Physics. The machine we have is a Universal Laser Systems (former Versalaser) ULS 4.6 with a 50W CO2 laser. The machine can mark many materials and cut wood and plywood, hardboard, cardboard, paper, acrylic, PMMA (plexiglas), Delrin (acetal) and a few other materials up to a thickness of 10 mm (up to 6mm for best results). Do not ever cut PVC or any materials that contain chlorine.
