Latvia's only palace, the Palace of Rundale, a wonderful Baroque palace built between 1736 and 1740 as a summer residence for Ernst Johann Biron, Duke of Courland. The palace was designed by Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, who designed the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. And a nice little summer cottage it is, gardens and all:
