This is a good demonstration of how a hot air balloon impacts the surrounding environment. At the beginning of the video you will hear the “Blast Valve” this is burning propane gas in vapour form and is quite noisy. Shortly after our pilot Gary Davies turns on the “Whisper” this is propane in liquid form and is much quieter. We use this burner when coming low over livestock in fields so not to startle animals. We also use this form to “nightglow” the balloons at fiestas. For balloonists the balloon is a Thunder and Colt Fiesta 77 G-BNMX and the burner is a Cameron double Shadow.
