Circuit Scribe is a unique electronics learning tool because you can draw circuits using this special conductive ink pen. When the ink dries (less than 1 minute), you can then place various magnetic modules as they're called onto your paper "circuit board" and make various kinds of basic circuits!

I think kids 8 years old and up would learn a lot from these kits, as well as anyone who is new to electronics.
I want to clarify my comments about the bi-LED in this video: The bi-LED module actually has 2 LEDs on it, biased in different directions. With LEDs, current can only flow in one direction. That is why when you have the module oriented one way, the red LED comes on, and then when you turn it 180 degrees, the blue LED comes on. The current in the circuit is still flowing in the same direction, it's just a matter of which LED on the module is biased in the proper direction which causes it to light up.
