I have no idea why, but they put forth some interesting uses with the first power (beams) and then forget they exist.
I have to say, Factory is a pretty well set up area. It experiments and tries out new things, before dumping them as being stupid.
I don't get it, though. The whole idea of moving platforms and rockets if cool. But I guess there's only so much you can od before it getting tedious...
WAIT A MINUTE!!!
That's half the game. This game's difficulty, direction and rage-induction goes up and down more than an alternating current.
The things introduced is platform manipulation, enemies that open doors, rockets you control, correct slingshot use, pipes that change your beam and such.
A lot of fun stuff, that could have been used in some complex puzzles.
The indie genre... what does it do? It doesn't define the game. Indie games can be long, pretty, deep, shallow, etc.
Then again, Valve is the boss and Genre is not carved in stone.
And since Puzzle isn't in the genre, I should stop expecting puzzles. Even though this game would be GREAT for puzzles.
