Another Sunday morning, another excuse to bring out the camera and film something. Ronan, my brother, an astute angler who ties all his own ‘secret formula’ flies was going fishing and he, many of times at this stage, had suggested I get a few shots of him getting ready to go fishing. We plan to do a full day on the lake filming but for now I just captured the moments before getting into the boat. The dog, as you’ll see, made it for me. There’s something about an animal being really happy that rubs off on you.
I took a quick spin up to another favourite location of mine, Ross Errilly Friary or ‘Ross Abbey’ as it’s known locally. Beautifully preserved historical site, one of the finsest of it's kind in the country. It’s good for spotting birds too, loads of Whooping swans and geese, I had a Sparrowhawk circling overhead (I used that pic at at the pier scene).
After leaving Headford, I spun up the road to Cong, another very picturesque village which is famous for both Ashford Castle and the filming of ‘The Quiet Man’. But I spent most of my time there on the Fatbike! I don't think that door man wanted me entering on the bike!
Enjoy the vlog folks, it’s always nice to get interaction here so likes, comments and shares are greatly appreciated. Also, feel free to like my page if you enjoy this type of content.
There’s been a long gap between vlogs since I uploaded the last one so I intend on doing them more regularly. Enjoy!
