How to install 2" drop spindles in a Volkswagen Bay Window Bus. Thoroughly documented and explained.
I put these spindles in a '71 (early Bay) but the instructions are the same for a later Bus ('72-'79). There was some grinding involved on the calipers because the late calipers don't mate up well with the early rotors. This can be resolved by grinding down part of the caliper as I did or replacing the rotors with late Bay rotors. You'll also need to source late bay caliper mounting bolts as the early calipers and spindles have a different sized holes for mounting.
The procedure is the same for ball joint Bugs, but the components will look slightly different.
