Märklin 1-gauge model train of an north-Swedish electric iron ore train.
This Märklin-based model train rolls estimated more than 1000km a year. It has rolled at "Teknikens hus" for many years. Visitors can themselves drive the train from the driving seat in the locomotive that can be seen in the film. A camera shows live video from the model train at the front window.
During the filming of this movie I had to mount the video camera on the last of the ore cars, and therefore I had to drive the train backwards. Normally, there is left hand traffic on the Swedish railways.
The model landscape as is built around the train is supposed to be the train station in Luleå and Kiruna. The railway length is not in scale. Actually there is about 340km one way.
