How to build a portable toilet. I spent about $35 on supplies to build this portable toilet and honestly, although it's a little more expensive, it might be easier to just buy a porta-potty. But for those who want to compost humanure this could be a good way to go since it's the same height as a "normal" toilet and would fit anywhere one of those would. The composting would have to be done in a compost pile though - this toilet probably wouldn't be suitable to compost within the toilet itself.
Also, for those who live in areas where porta-potties are not available for purchase this would be a way to make your own.
Supplies needed:
1/2 inch (12 mm) plywood
8 foot 2 x 4
Toilet seat
Wood blind for small window
5 gallon bucket
Urine collector or diverter
Deck screws
