This video shows how to fix X axis slipping. This seems to be a major design flaw to the Makerbot Replicator 2 and causes of loss of location on the X axis. Fortunately a repair can be simple and cheap, all be it clumsy, that solves the problem at the time of writing my fix has run my first machine over 200 hours of build time. UpDATe.
