Tip was dumped on a rural property. She resorted to a life of crime after she was abandoned by her owners, breaking into houses and stealing food to survive. We don't know if she was dumped because she was pregnant or if she got pregnant because she was dumped, but she gave birth to four healthy babies and one tiny preemie on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, in the care of Shelly Roche at TinyKittens (http://www.tinykittens.com). Tip took to being a mama like a duck to water.
Shelly Roche of TinyKittens also took in a pregnant feral cat named Sisko, who gave birth to eight kittens (including one who didn't make it) on August 6, 2016. Seven kittens was too many for Sisko to cope with so a couple of her kittens were rotated out and put in with Tip's over the last four weeks. Tip was completely accepting, blissful even, of having an expanded family.
The plan has always been to spay and return Sisko to her feral colony once the babies were old enough to eat solid food. As that day draws close, more of Sisko's kittens stay with Tip permanently.
This video shows what happens when nine four-week-old kittens decide to nurse at the same time.
