Manila 2048 Summer Olympics by DOCH Architects.
A first world Philippines and an ambitious olympic dream. Situated in Sta. Rosa, laguna, the olympic city revives the Philippine's multicultural history through Ethnic Patterns. Our main structures are the following:
The Spire
- a beacon for the olympics. Standing tall at 250m, the spire serves as a wayfinder for the olympic city.
Olympic Village
-a residential building for athletes and officials. With the capacity of 16000 people, the village serves as a second house for the delegates. The design introduces a tropical approach to a midrise building.
Aquatics Center
-inspired by a deconstructed basket, the aquatics center an exterior skin that welcomes the spactators from the olympic park.
Olympic Stadium
-introduces a new idea in stadium design. An olympic stadium surrounded by 5 olympic venues housed under one roof. Creating an opportunity for a more center olympic celebration
