Chapter 5 - The Kimberly
The Rover has been experiencing some wheel wear, and testing on Earth proved that driving backwards would reduce the wear, so sols 547 and 548 were each driven 100 meters in reverse
Here on Sol 5:49 we have some up close pictures of the wheel damage
Sol 550 arrives at Bungle Bungle and the rover stops for some alpha particle x-ray spectrometer measurements as well this panoramic photo of the area
Sols 568 and 571 the Rover looks back on the last few days of its activity on Mars
Sol 580 the rover stops at an outcrop called Square top and snaps a series of photos that we have stitched together into this panoramic view of the rock formation
Here are some more close-ups of the punishment Rover's wheels are taking from the Martian Terrain
Since the beginning of this chapter, curiosity has driven 1017 meters and has arrived at "The Kimberly" and she presents us with this panoramic photo of her surroundings
