Saul Williams visited Duke University in October 2016 for his artist residency with Duke Performances, where he discussed his spoken word and theater career, activism, gender performance, U.S. American privilege, and his strong stance on promoting feminism. This conversation was followed by Saul Williams' visit to the Theater Studies: Stories of Social Change class, and finally, ended with a Nelson Music Room concert with the Mivos Quartet on Friday, October 7, 2016 on Duke's East Campus.
