A small machine designed to help the children in my School Workshops understand the basics of motion, levers, pulleys and gears.
BOARD 1. Gear Driven Automatic Reversing Mechanism. Chain and Sprocket, Gears, Rotary, Oscillating and Reciprocating motion.
BOARD 2. Gear and Pulley Drives demonstrating the difference in speed between two gears/pulleys of different sizes. Rotary motion.
BOARD 3. Rotary motion converted to Reciprocation motion via a Crank and Eccentric and to Linear motion via a Cam and Follower.
BOARD 4. Device to double the throw of a crank. Rack and Pinion. Rotary, Oscillating, Reciprocating and Linear motion.
BOARD 5. Lever operated slow forward and quick return motion. Rotary, Oscillating and Reciprocating motion.
BOARD 6. Various gear drives. Spur Gear and Pinion. Worm and Worm Wheel. Helical and Bevel Gears. Crown Wheel (Contrate Gear) and Pinion.
