throttle maximum : musical tone then two beeps
throttle minimum : number of beep related to the number of cells battery used + long beep
Comments:
How you power the receiver has nothing to do to with ESC calibration. Indeed, the communication between ESC and transmitter via the receiver is based on the signal wire (white) and ground (black). Then, in fact you can power the receiver by 5V from the BEC provided by ESC or from external battery.
Moreover, the receiver don't need to be turn it off because the minimum and maximum throttle values are fixed from the transmitter and will be anytime the same. However, the ESC did not know which minimal and maximal values are their from you transmitter because they are specific to the transmitter and it explains that we have to calibrate the ESC.
