The Komorebi was designed adapting Mitsubishi’s latest ’dynamic shield’ design language while taking inspiration from popular models of the past like the Galant or Lancer hatchbacks. Its most dominant motif is a hexagonal shape which derives from one of the most perfect creations of nature, the honeycomb pattern. The rims, the characterlines on the doors and even the windscreens and many elements of the interior are shaped like this.
The name Komorebi is the word the Japanese have for when sunlight filters through the trees - the interplay between the light and the leaves.
