There's this very hauntingly strange large rock off the southern tip of Lakonia, in the Peloponnese, Greece. This island rock has so much history I saw a World War II ghost as I tossed and turned in my sleep, and I'm not a ghost believer. So there you go. Aside from that, the place is amazing, full of little shops, hotels, restaurants, Byzantine churches, stunning views and hiking routes.
