Yet another installment covering changes to my audio system.
Now I'm all Conrad-Johnson except for the source components and speakers. I think it's safe to say that the system is now an example of "affordable high-end". It's made relatively affordable by the fact that my pre-amp, phono stage, and power amp were all purchased used. It's good stuff, and I'm in a good place with the system right now.
Of course, there's always the possibility of changing speakers, which will make the biggest difference of all. I'm considering a move to the Magnepan 1.7 or MG12l. I've owned MMGs before, and have missed them ever since selling them about 10 years ago. The downside of going that direction is that I'll likely have to replace the sweet MV-55 power amp.
