This is my Popwing that I built for speed.
I have a motor that pulls 800 watts (over 1 hp), 80 amp ESC, and a 2700 mah 4s battery that I split into 2 batteries to divide up the weight. I have also put a lot of carbon fiber in this plane to make it strong enough to handle the G force in the turns.
This is my 4th Popwing and is by far the fastest. I don't know the actual speed but it looks to be twice as fast as my next fastest one.
The LED's really aid in seeing the orientation of the plane when it flies far away.
Build one. I think you will like it. It is my favorite plane to fly.
