A little while back my kids and I were hiking and they both noticed that there was a lot of trash in the forest. They did not like that. A few weeks ago they both came home from school with the idea of spending the day in the forest and picking up garbage. So we did.
We visited Stanislaus National Forest in California and had a great day hiking, exploring, and cleaning the forest. If you hike much you might notice it too. Don't be afraid to clean it up. Also, if you pack it in, pack it out.
