RedCatPropware.com invited me (and Rotor Riot) down to discuss some business collaboration opportunities. In this episode, Jeff Thompson (CEO) explains his business model and talks about funding his startup through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO).
Jeff sees a bright future building careers for ambitious freestyle drone pilots in the commercial space. This is extremely relatable to him because of his background as a professional skater in the 80's. He believes Rotor Riot has a great business model to attract talent. Additionally he's willing to create sponsorships for pilots that help test this new technology.
Jeff Thompson, founder and CEO of Towerstream resigned to focus his efforts on building and growing his drone company, Red Cat Propware. In January 2007 Towerstream completed a reverse merger, raised $15 million in capital and commenced trading common stock on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol TWER. By May 2007, Towerstream stock was moved to NASDAQ Capital Markets and the company raised an additional $40 million in capital.
