Well with the new FAA Drone Laws that are going into effect would it be a bad idea to give a drone as a gift? It seems with these new changes I would be hesitant on giving a drone for Christmas or Birthday gift. It puts added responsibility on the individual to make sure they are now following all the new laws coming out...
