Dough/Adonan .
2.5 cups (312g) all purpose flour (tepung serba guna)
3 tbsp sugar (gula)
1/2 tsp salt (garam)
1 tbsp instant dry yeast (fermipan)
180ml (3/4 cup) warm milk/water (susu cair hangat/air hangat)
1 large egg (telur ukuran besar), whisked and reserve some for egg wash later
3 tbsp soft butter (mentega lunak)
extra flour (cadangan tepung)
Garlic butter (you won't use it all)
1 cup or less of soft butter (mentega lunak)
1 tsp fine salt (garam halus)
1/2 cup minced green onion (daun bawang cincang)
1 tsp garlic powder or 1 tbsp minced fresh garlic (bubuk bawang/bawang segar cincang )
Making Garlic Butter :
In a bowl, mix all garlic butter ingredient until combined. keep in the refrigerator until ready to use. You may will not use it all.
Di dalam mangkok, campur semua bahan garlic butter hingga tercampur rata. Simpan di kulkas hingga siap untuk digunakan.
Making Dough :
1. In a large bowl : flour, sugar, salt, yeast. Stir using a spatula/wooden spoon.
2. Pour warm milk/water into flour and stir. Add whisked egg and stir until just combined.
3. Add soft butter and continue stirring using a strong spatula/wooden spoon until well combined.
4. Put the dough in oiled bowl and cover for about an hour at warm place. The dough will be soft sticky and hollow.
5. Transfer to floured work surface and sprinkle with extra flour. Fold the dough by hands (no need to knead). Gather the dough and divide into 16 pieces.
6. Shape into balls, flatten each dough and spread about 1 tsp of garlic butter. Fold the dough into half and fold to create a petal by gather both corners.
7. Arrange the petal dough on baking pan create circle shape and give a space between them. Cover for about 30 minutes.
8. brush with the remaining egg and bake in hot oven at 175°C for 30 minutes. Depends of the oven you're using.
Until golden brown and bloom beautifully.
Cara membuat adonan :
1. Di dalam mangkok besar, campur tepung, garam, gula dan fermipan, aduk menggunakan sendok kayu.
2. Tuang telur kocok, aduk sebentar lalu tuang susu hangat/air hangat. Aduk hingga agak rata.
3. Tambahkan mentega lunak dan aduk menggunakan sendok kayu/sendok yang kuat hingga rata.
4. Taruh di mangkok beroleskan minyak, tutp selama 1 jam di tempat yang hangat (atas kulkas ) adona akan menjadi lengket, lembut dan berongga.
5. Pindah adonan di atas meja bertabur tepung. Lipat (tidak perlu di remas" atau ditekan) cukup di lipat dan dibentuk bulat. Bagi menjadi 16 potong.
6. Bentuk bulat kecil lalu pipihkan dengan jari, oles 1 st adonan mentega bawang/garlic butter. Lipat menjadi setengah dan gabngkan kedua ujung membentuk kelopak.
7. Tata adonan berbentuk kelopak tadi di atas loyang yang diolesi mentega. Atur bentuk melingkar bundar dengan sedikit jarak. Tutup selama 30 menit.
8. Olesi dengan sisa telur kocok dan panggang di oven 175°C selama 30 menit. Hingga kuning kecoklatan dan mengembang cantik
Tergantung jenis oven yang anda pakai, setiap oven mungkin berbeda hasilnya.
