Remote control extenders provide a means to extend the range of your IR remote control. Most just repeat the IR signal sent from the remote through a transmitter to a receiver where the device being controlled is. With the Nextgen Remote Control Extender Genius, the remote control itself becomes an RF remote directly communicating with the receiver.
Using a AAA sized RF transmitter (on 433MHz) in place of a battery (a AA using a sleeve) with one of the two 2/3AAA size rechargeables makes it easy. With multiple transmitters, a single receiver with multiple emitters can be used to control multiple devices. _
