This is video #016 in my playthrough of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. The client for Errand #002: The Idle Wife is the woman standing with her husband outside Swift Solutions. The poor girl has lost all interest in doing her husband's bidding all the time. Ollie must find her some Enthusiasm. Fortunately, Oliver already has a helping of Enthusiasm in the Locket, so he gives it to her with the Give Heart spell. Suddenly, she is right as rain again. In gratitude, the couple gives Oliver 3 bars of Chocolate, 3 Flans, 30 Guilders, and 2 Merit Stamps.
After helping the couple, Oliver talks to the brown and white grimalkin sitting on the bench outside of Swift Solutions (time index 2:58). Here is another person with a spare dose of Enthusiasm, so Oliver borrows it with the Take Heart spell. No one else in Ding Dong Dell needs Enthusiasm for now, but it is a good idea to grab it now before moving on.
The client for Errand #079: Notes from the Hills is the posh English gentleman standing outside the Cat's Cradle inn (time index 4:59). The unfortunate bloke has misplaced his travel diary. It is on a small island in the river to the northwest of Ding Dong Dell.
When Oliver and Drippy leave Ding Dong Dell and cross the bridge, there is some brief dialog (time index 7:55).
I really can't believe the beasties are still chasing after Oliver. Do they *want* to die?
To the northeast of Ding Dong Dell, there is a small wood in a valley (time index 9:55). This takes Oliver into the Forest Glade area. There seems to be a small family here. In a blue chest that he can unlock with Spring Lock, Oliver can find a Battler's Badge. This accessory boosts defense by 2.
In this glade, Oliver will find the client for Errand #044: Forest Folk (time index 10:56). Unfortunately, they are being harassed by five Rhinobores. Naturally, Oliver should help these people out. If you play a lot of MMOs, you should be familiar with errands like this that require you to kill a certain number of monsters.
Back out on the overworld, there will be five Rhinobores surrounding the Forest Glade. These foes are nothing really special. In fact, it is pretty easy to sneak up on them.
When all five Rhinobores are down for the count, Oliver goes back into the Forest Glade and talks to the boy (time index 16:13). As a reward for getting rid of the rhinos, Ollie receives 3 bottles of Iced Coffee, 50 Guilders, and 4 Merit Stamps. An excellent reward.
Oliver next heads west. The diary for Errand #079 is on the small island in the river to the northwest of Ding Dong Dell (time index 18:20). As Ollie gets onto the island, a tell-tale exclamation bubble pops over his head. When he examines this point, he gets the Traveler's Diary.
Finally, Oliver heads to the Deep Dark Wood to get a couple of things.
