This is a compilation of 5 zoom shots that I have taken since I purchased my camera. The Nikon Coolpix P900 camera has an amazing reputation for capturing long range zooms. A good quality fluid head tripod is essential for long range zoom captures, along with a steady hand and lots of practice with the auto and manual focus settings. I own 2 tripods which have different uses. These are the Manfrotto Befree Live and the Weifing WF-717. All footage taken with my P900 camera is unedited to show distortion and shake.
The North East of England, UK offers some amazing viewpoints and I have tried to capture some of these which are within local travelling distance. Unfortunately the coastline consistently suffers from haze, which with other atmospheric conditions reduces visibility at long distance. I consider this as a challenge and I’m always looking for that one day when the horizon is clear.
