This is so confusing?? But it's what makes modeling fun!
Please keep in mind that this KK2 board will NOT do the motor ESC calibrate. When pressing button 1 & 4 the KK2 just says 'Throttle pass through'? It never has done a group calibrate!
Also all motors ran while plugged into the KK2 board but needed to be calibrated. Motor 4 did start until half throttle. Motor 3 was late starting also. Motors 1 & 2 where even and started together.
My motor number 3 will not run when plugged into the KK2 board. Even if I change motor slots number 3 motor will still not run.
However - If I use another receiver and plug motor number three into the receivers motor slot the motor runs.
If I plug motor 4 or 2 into motor number 3's KK2 slot that motor will run.
If I run motors 1,2 & 4 and plug motor number 3 into another AR6110E receiver the motor will run.
But if motor number three in plugged into the KK2 board's motor 3 slot the motor beeps.
I think that is telling me that the ESC for motor 3 is not calibrated? But if plugged into the other receiver it does run.
I thought there may be a power problem. So I powered the KK2 off the number 1 esc and motors 2 & 4 from the KK2. While using the power distribution board to power the ESC's & the KK2 and had the number 3's motors ESC power the other receiver. The ESC number 3 was getting it's power from the power distribution board. So all ESC's were powered by the PDB (Power Distribution Board).
I can't seem to find where the problem is. Do I need a new KK2 or a new 40A Detrum ESC or is the motor at fault.
1. Motor runs with other receiver so it good.
2. PDB is providing power to everything so it's good.
3. The Detrum 40A ESC works with the separate AR6110E receiver so it's good.
4. Motor 2 or 4 will work in number 3's motor slot on KK2 so it's good.
Only thing I see different is the red wire from number 3's ESC not in place when plugged into KK2. I did try to leave the red wire in when plugging into KK2 not it still didn't work. I thought when plugging and unplugging the number 3's ESC maybe I damaged the plug for the ESC. But then why would it work when plugged into a separate receiver?
