This is not my video, but when I came across it I felt I had to let EVERYONE see it. This type of behavior is typical, not just for us drone operators only, but for ANYONE the police feel that they can harass and violate the civil rights of.
November 13, 2016, a SHARK team (a.k.a. Showing Animals Respect And Kindness) uses an Angel drone to get an aerial view of Marshall Farms, a company in North Rose, N.Y. that raises beagles, ferrets and other animals for research.
Although absolutely no laws were broken, police made an illegal traffic stop that lasted more than an hour. You won't believe what happens next. The blatant bullying and down right incompetence by not only the police, but the state troopers who showed up as well, is hard to believe.
Per the ACLU: Police may stop and briefly detain you ONLY if there is reasonable suspicion that you committed, are committing or are about to commit a crime. ( the Police are able to circumvent this law by using "probable cause" ).
By their actions alone, every police officer involved lost not only their credibility, their dignity, AND their legitimacy as a trustworthy government entity, by blatantly selling out to a company that sells animals for research.
I say SHAME ON YOU! Shame on the New York State Police and Shame on the Wayne County Sheriff's dept. as well.
There is no law against flying over private property.

While SHARK will stand against bad cops, we do not wish them harm - we only wish to get rid of the bad cops, so the good police can do their jobs".
"Harming others is what we are trying to end, so let's not threaten even those with whom we very much disagree. We certainly understand the emotion, having seen so much corruption firsthand, but violence is not the answer".
