Ollantaytambo is a special place tucked away in the Sacred Valley. The area is saturated with Andean culture and legend. I feel myself drifting into times I can only imagine however, every discovery I make in the region that adds to the over all picture of these times I believe I can see the times of Akakor, Some believe Akakor was a mythological culture in South America and the home of the legendary city of El Dorado, the city of gold.
Through various translations of the name Akakor, Quechua and Hebrew we come up with "akakor is dust and ashes.. and Akakor has another meaning depending on the context, "afar away".
