[Skip to 7:20 for demo] Wrap-up discussion at the Wikidata hackathon, a collaboration between Avox and Osmosoft to build a wiki of companies data. The hackathon was an one-day agile event in which user stories were agreed upon and prioritised at the start, and we worked through them through the data. The end result is a proof-of-concept that lets users search and browse through companies. Company data can be edited and viewed, and the view includes a Google map and a set of nested comments. There is also an API allowing programmers to build mashups with this data. This "comes for free" with the TiddlyWeb server, and allows for uploading and retrieving in different formats (JSON, HTML, XML, plain text.)
The tool uses TiddlyWeb on the server and JQuery in the browser.
