Sun uses Hydrogen and Helium as it's fuel and keeps burning all the time. Sun has about 2 Octillion tons of fuel and using 600 million tons every second.
In about 5 billion years, Sun will run out of fuel and become a red star. Then it will start expanding, due to which Earth will receive more light and become hotter every day.
