So I was trying to fly out of a local public airport near my new job. I was stopped by a curious deputy who thought I wasn't allowed to be there. I did my best to explain that I was totally legal, going so far as to give the officer a quick lesson on FAR 103, but it took a chain of calls before I was allowed to fly. It ended up being a short flight due to the delay but I'm no longer a stranger to that Carolina sky!
