Parkzone Stinson on Floats Maiden. First flights on a run-off pond. Bit breezy and the first flight was with the battery too far back making the plane tail heavy and hard to control. The first take off was also WITH the wind and too much elevator, so nearly a tip stall. Landing was good. Second flight again, attempted take off with the wind, not good, but much better take off into the wind. One touch and go then a very nice landing at 5:30.
These floats work pretty darn good on the Stinson. I am looking forward to flying off floats this summer but will likely hook up a water rudder of some sort.
The Stinson never ceases to amaze me, looking and flying great on wheels, skis and now floats! Very versatile model from Parkzone.
