Privacy vs Security
How can entities be deemed trustworthy of managing private information?
Abstract: As new technologies continue to evolve, a proportionally similar set of new ethical problems continues to arise. Many of these problems are associated with how to maintain a proper balance between individual privacy and security. As the government and other private companies adopt these emerging technologies, the personal privacy of individual citizens might be compromised. This presentation will explore answers to the question of how to achieve a balance the personal privacy and security of society in general as related to technology, viewed from both the government and individual citizen perspectives.
