Using a Presto Kitchen Kettle Multi-Cooker Steamer to create an acetone vapor bath to smooth some ABS prints. It's a knob for the door of my Solidoodle, printed with Crysta-Line Topaz transclucent ABS from 3DPrintergear.com.au.
The prints stay in the vapor for maybe 30 seconds, and one or two exposures is usually enough. The best results come from .1mm layer prints, but .3mm layer prints can look good, especially if you sand them down a bit first.

The only way you are going to catch the vapor on fire is with flame or spark, and it isn't difficult to take precautions against both. If it does catch fire (it doesn't explode), simply put the lid on and it will go out.
